Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Ltd (RCW) was incorporated in 2003. We are a private company set up to maximise the positive impact of Wales' successful bid to host The 2010 Ryder Cup and to deliver the bid's obligations. Established and part funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, RCW receives public investment and sponsorship. There are 12 board members representing our diverse key partners, with an independent Chairman, John Jermine.

We are naturally working closely with the Golf Union of Wales and The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport where the match will be held from 1st-3rd October 2010.

From day one, RCW has existed to capitalise on a 'once only' opportunity and to ensure that The 2010 Ryder Cup has a long-term positive impact across Wales both on and off the golf courses. Already our yearly 'Summer of Golf' Programme, that helps to highlight Wales as a fabulous golf destination, has brought tangible results. Especially combined with the Visit Wales's 'golf as it should be' campaign. Visitor numbers have increased by more than 30% since 2002, with 140,000 visiting players enjoying Welsh golf courses in 2004 alone.

Welsh golf tourism is growing fast and it will grow even faster as we capitalise on the approach of the legendary tournament. RCW seeks to ensure that what's good for our golf is good for the country. That's why we're here.

"80% of our first-time visitors plan to return"
